"Hold this CD carefully, because this music will cut you.

What is the sound of the MoFo Party band? It's raw and nasty. It's filled with sharp corners. It's the Sound of grit and salt and mechanic's grease. These guys play mean, man.

Their Sound is live, in one take. Their Sound has no overdubs or production gimmicks. What you will hear is exactly what hundreds of dusty bars and West Coast blues festivals have heard these past 20 years.

The Clifton brothers and the man who hold the bottom play with 78 rpm intensity. Are they bringing a new sound ? Or are they conjuring Roy Brown, Howlin' Wolf, Slim Harpo and Magic Sam, maybe Muddy Waters live in Newport?

The answewr is in between - it's a Sound filled with the conflicting realities of the past and the present.
